Another weekend, another University visit! This time Warwick.

Aging bodies tend not to be keen on long drives unfortunately, so what are our top tips?

1) Have a little cushion or rolled up towel in the space behind your lower back for support (bringing your bottom to the back of the seat first)

2) Regular breaks - as annoying as it is to stop at the services every hour, it will pay dividends with your body!!

3) Gently mobilise your spine when you get home (see previous post on this)

4) A hot bath with Epsom salts to relax and take some long deep breaths to calm you – you deserve it after the long drive and the long day.

We had the most amazing afternoon yesterday catching up with wonderful friends Sam and Glenn of The Movement Base Pilates Studio in Leigh on Sea.

Sam and I worked together back in 2009 as Sports & Remedial Soft Tissue Therapists at a Chiropractic clinic, and a beautiful friendship was born right there 😍 All these years on, we’ve juggled raising our families with running successful Pilates Studios with our hubbies, and it was great to get together and catch up and share ideas.

Big shout also to Mallows Restaurant in Canary Wharf – beautiful food for us ‘Plant Based’ folk, beautiful ambience, great staff, and to top it all off they designed a creamy cocktail for me at my request including Chai and Amaretto - and then they apparently named it after me for when I return – nice touch - thank you Mallow! If anyone is going there ask for Charlene’s Cocktail – it was gorge!!!!
